Zelensky's Bust: Congressman Wants Statue of Ukrainian Leader in Capitol Building
Congress hates each other, but are united when it comes to war.
Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., for the second time since the Ukraine War broke out, put forth a resolution to display a bust of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky inside the Capitol building.
The resolution stated that Wilson wants to direct the Fine Arts Board “to obtain a bust of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, for display in the House of Representatives wing of the United States Capitol.”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene posted the resolution on her Twitter account and wrote, “Absolutely NOT! We serve AMERICA NOT UKRAINE!”
Her office did not immediately respond to a call from The Trends Journal.
NORD STREAM ATTACK: THE CASE NOBODY WANTS SOLVED
Wilson, a ranking member of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, was a major supporter of the Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act of 2022 and said at the time that Congress joins “the civilized world in being horrified by the mass murder with indiscriminate slaughter of untold thousands of Ukrainian civilians and soldiers at the hands of war criminal Putin.”
Calls to Wilson’s D.C. and South Carolina offices went unanswered.
Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Arizona, also tweeted, “There is now a House resolution that seeks to put a display of Zelensky's head in the U.S. Capitol. Was the $100+ billion to Ukraine not enough?”
The U.S. has approved well over $100 billion in aid to Ukraine, but it is never enough.
Ukraine’s top diplomat raised eyebrows on Monday when he said no country did enough when it comes to supporting Kyiv’s war effort against the Russian invasion.
Dmitry Kuleba, the foreign minister, took to Twitter and posted, “Ukraine is grateful to partners for their military aid, but we should remain honest with one another: no one has done enough as long as Russian boots remain on Ukrainian ground. Arming our country for victory is the shortest way to restoring peace and security in Europe & beyond.”
Dmitry Polyanskiy, the first deputy permanent representative of Russia to the UN, took issue with the tweet, and responded, “Translation from Ukrainian: we have squandered our army again, give us more armies and we will continue to pretend that we are fighting Russia on our own. And don’t forget to sponsor our oligarchs’s luxurious life in Europe!”
More evidence of mass insanity. A psychopathic pervert to be displayed as a symbol of American style Justice. Fits.
Why just a bust? Since the unelected, never militarily served, warmongers in Kleptocrat Biden's State Dept. have spent $100 billion of unconsulted US taxpayers' money for the Ukraine proxy war, why not cough up a few million more for a full marble sculpture of Volod playing the piano with his penis? That would reflect the degenerate level of the current regime in DC and the Democrat Party.
