Zelensky’s Office: Poland Will Be Our Friend Until the End of the War
Ukraine announced Tuesday that it summoned the Polish ambassador after comments from a top official from the country criticized Kyiv for being ungrateful.
Mikhail Podolyak, the head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, said in an interview last week that the friendship between Ukraine and Poland will last the duration of the war with Russia, but then will turn competitive.
He told Ukraine’s Dom TV channel on Friday that Warsaw “is the closest partner and friend we have these days,” according to TASS, the Russian news outlet.
“And, generally, it will remain this way until the end of the war. After it’s over, of course, we will have a competitive relationship, of course, we will compete for various markets, consumers, and so on. And, of course, we will clearly adopt pro-Ukrainian positions, protect these interests, fiercely defend them," he said.
