Ex-British Diplomat: Iran Not the Slightest Bit Concerned About an Israel-Only Attack
He says even the U.S. cannot attack Iran's nuclear bunkers
Alastair Crooke, the former senior British diplomat, laughed off the idea that Iran would be concerned about an attack from Israel because Tel Aviv is not capable of carrying out a strike in “any serious way.”

“They don't have the planes or the capability. They don't have the tanker aircraft to refuel enough aircraft to make this realistic,” he told Judge Andrew Napolitano’s “Judging Freedom.” “You need a lot of aircraft in the air to suppress air defenses, each one of those needs refueling, at least once or twice during the journey,” which “is not easy.”
Crooke told the podcast in May that U.S. President Donald Trump will likely be informed by his military advisers that the U.S. cannot even strike at the heart of Tehran’s program.
“I don’t think, actually, the United States to do it [an all-out attack], certainly, if it can’t do it with Yemen, it’s certainly not in a position to do it with Iran,” he said at the time.
