Iran: Retaliatory Strike on Israel Has Concluded, Will be Worse Next Time
Israel says it intercepted dozens of drones launched form Iran
Iran’s mission to the UN posted on X late Saturday that its retaliatory strike on Israel over the bombing of its consulate in Syria has been completed, before issuing a warning to the U.S. to butt out.
“Conducted on the strength of Article 51 of the UN Charter pertaining to legitimate defense, Iran’s military action was in response to the Zionist regime’s aggression against our diplomatic premises in Damascus. The matter can be deemed concluded. However, should the Israeli regime make another mistake, Iran’s response will be considerably more severe. It is a conflict between Iran and the rogue Israeli regime, from which the U.S. MUST STAY AWAY!” the post read.
IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari confirmed the report and said dozens of drones were airborne from Iran toward Israel, according to The Jerusalem Post.
The IDF posted on X: “Iran launched UAVs from within its territory toward Israel a short while ago. The IDF is on high alert and is constantly monitoring the operational situation. The IDF Aerial Defense Array is on high alert, along with IAF fighter jets and Israeli Navy vessels that are on a defense mission in Israeli air and naval space. The IDF is monitoring all targets.”
The warmongers in Washington have been posting on X that they “stand with Israel.”
Indeed, Reuters reported that the U.S. military shot down Iranian drone aircraft headed toward Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning last week and said only Israel is allowed to kill who it wants and inflict damage on other countries after its high-profile attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria earlier this month.
TRENDPOST: The drone strike seemed to be largely symbolic because Iran has been trying not to escalate war with the U.S.
Professor John Mearsheimer said in a recent interview that Israel is “basically out of control” and its escalatory strike on the Iranian consulate in Syria is likely an effort to force Iran’s hand to respond and drag the U.S. into war with Tehran.
