Netanyahu Losing, Irked That the Pentagon Has No Interest in Fighting: Ret. U.S. Army Colonel
Israeli leader's top objective is to pull the U.S. into war with Iran
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expanded Israel’s war to five fronts because his ultimate goal is to get the U.S. military to do his “heavy-lifting” in this misadventure — something that the Pentagon has no interest in, according to Lawrence Wilkerson, retired US Army colonel and former chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell.
“He’s fighting on five fronts, at a minimum. He’s fighting Iran; he’s fighting Hezbollah; he’s fighting Hamas; he’s fighting Syria; and he’s fighting Iraq,” Wilkerson told the “Dialogue Works” podcast. “I'm sorry, this guy doesn't know how to do anything but expand his wars, and, of course, ultimately, his aim has still not been fulfilled. His ultimate aim is to get the United States to do his heavy lifting for him. And I think he's beginning to understand that the United States, particularly the Pentagon” does not want to take on Israel's burden.
