Netanyahu's Congressional Address Will Go Down in Infamy: NADER
Netanyahu knows he runs the U.S. government no matter which party is in power
Ralph Nader, the former U.S. presidential candidate, posted on X on Tuesday that Israel President Benjamin Netanyahu’s address in front of Congress today will live in infamy as Israel continues its brutal genocide in Gaza.
“He was invited by the fanatical House Speaker Johnson and his sadistic GOP cohorts, supported by half of the Democrats. With his rising genocide using Biden’s unconditional weaponry and many billions of Congressional tax dollars, six federal statutes are being violated. Netanyahu is committing numerous war crimes under international law,” he posted.
“By supporting Netanyahu’s ongoing slaughter, Congress is applauding with bloodsoaked hands. This politician is despised by 3 out of 4 Israelis for his domestic tyrannies and disastrous blunders on October 7th. He is under indictment by Israeli prosecutors for political corruption. Members of Congress who back him are backing violent antisemitism against Palestinian Arabs—called “the other antisemitism” by Jim Zogby.”
Netanyahu knows he runs the U.S. government no matter which party is in power, but the increased likelihood of a Donald Trump presidency has leaders even less interested in a ceasefire deal with Hamas than before—with Bullshit Biden.
Netanyahu said last week that the key to the negotiations is to keep the foot on Hamas’s neck, so “as long as we keep pressuring them, Hamas will give up more and more,” according to The New York Times.
Medea Benjamin, the co-founder of Code Pink, posted on X that DC is “rolling out the red carpet, the ten-foot-high fences, and massive police forces to hide war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu from the protests occurring wherever he goes. If support for Israel is so popular, why can't Netanyahu face the people?”
Axios noted that Netanyahu has already begun trying to shore up his personal relationship with Trump.
“Netanyahu was one of the first world leaders to issue a statement condemning the assassination attempt against Trump, and followed up with at least three additional statements and social media posts expressing solidarity,” the report said. It continued, “One of Netanyahu’s aides said it was strategic from Netanyahu to refer to Trump as ‘President Trump’ not ‘former President Trump’ in the video.”
TRENDPOST: Biden announced that he will end his presidential campaign on Sunday, but his Democratic replacement, Kamala Harris or otherwise, will have a similar pro-Israel position. As to who is running Washington when it comes to supporting the Israeli murder of Palestinians and their stealing of Palestinian land, this video clip of Jimmy Carter makes it perfectly clear.
Hamas wants a permanent end to the war, but Israel wants to be able to resume the genocide whenever it wants. Benny Gantz, the National Unity chair who resigned from Netanyahu’s government last month, even suggested tricking Hamas into an agreement.
“I want the hostages to return home,” Gantz said in an interview with Channel 12, according to The Times of Israel. “If there is a change in the fighting and our hostages are returned, and we do what needs to be done in the Gaza Strip in a year, or in two years, that’s not an issue,” he said. “I want the hostages home, I want to have strong security, and then we can continue what needs to be continued.”
Netanyahu has faced pressure from fellow extremists in the Knesset who want to press on with the bloodshed in Gaza. He also faces growing pressure from families of hostages who want their loved ones released.
“Netanyahu, don’t bury the hostages,” Einav Zngauker, whose son was abducted on 7 October, told the paper.
The Times noted that the Israeli military’s top command is hoping that a ceasefire could be reached.
But Netanyahu has presented himself as dedicated to the war and has bragged that he ignored U.S. President Joe Biden’s Rafah “red line,” which we noted was actually a “red carpet.”
“Pressure on me will not work,” Netanyahu said. (Of course, unless it’s from Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir.)
Netanyahu said it makes sense now to even push harder for concessions from Hamas, given the conditions on the ground.
“This is exactly the time to increase the pressure even more in order to return home all of the hostages, the living and the dead,” he said.
Netanyahu faced criticism last week after a report emerged that he told a security cabinet meeting that the Israeli hostages held by Hamas were suffering “but not dying.”
“We shouldn’t be anxious,” he said, according to The Times of Israel.“Hamas is the one that should be anxious. The hostages are suffering but they are not dying.”
Smotrich admitted in an interview in February that rescuing the hostages is “not the most important thing” for Israel to be concerned with.
SHAME on complacent Amerikans for enabling such blatant Abuse for decades. Been criminalized for saying it for 5 decades! Left the mess for "future" generations
They should have a special showing before the speech of them all having a real fun time banging little girls or boys, maybe even something a tad more nefarious. That way it should be clear what is really going on.
