Wilkerson explains 'nightmare scenario' for Lloyd Austin

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to provoke war with Iran because he has received assurances from the U.S. that no matter the aggression against its regional enemies, Washington will come to Israel’s defense.

Lawrence Wilkerson, retired US Army colonel and former chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell, said in an interview with Judge Andrew Napolitano’s “Judging Freedom” that U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin assured Israel that it can depend on Washington’s support while it carries out genocide in Gaza.

“Netanyahu takes that, and has taken it all along, for gospel… and so he's going to make Israel be attacked by Hezbollah, by Iran, by whomever he can get to do it…he’s going to do it,” Wilkerson said.

Wilkerson said the “nightmare scenario” for the U.S. and Israel would be Hezbollah deciding to release about 150 missiles a day toward Israel ad nauseam.

“That is to say for weeks on end, for months on end, 150 missiles a day would be coming in. He [Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah] can do that for about a year, maybe two based on how many missiles he has. Israel would be smoking,” he said.

He continued: “That would be Lloyd Austin’s worst nightmare, if you will…because Netanyahu would be screaming, ‘Come help me.’ Then we have to flow forces into the Eastern Mediterranean.”

He said Lebanon would be destroyed and he believes it would be the end of the state of Israel.
