Bass was in the running to be Joe Biden's VP pick

Embattled Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass pulled a Joe Biden on Wednesday when asked by Sky News about mistakes leading up to widespread wildfires that killed at least five and destroyed 1,100 structures.

Bass, who returned from a trip to Ghana, was asked if she regretted cutting the city’s fire department funding by millions, and her response was a blank stare.

“Elon Musk says you’re utterly incompetent, are you considering your position?” the reporter asked.

Still, a blank stare.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Bass was in Ghana to attend the inauguration of President John Dramani Mahama.
