Can we agree that Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc. are UTILITIES and should be regulated as such. Just like the companies that deliver power, water, etc. Fb etc. are nowadays used by government agencies to keep people informed, sometimes even warned. That means we need them in our lives.
We fight dictatorial elements in our governments. Yet we let ourselves being bullied by these "private" companies. Because using them seems to be free. They just sell your info over and over. No customer service helps cutting costs, making the top-people very rich.
I never wanted to be on Fb but caved some years ago. It lasted about nine months. I had hardy used my Fb page (three contribution in total) and then, all of a sudden, it was over: I was cancelled. No reason given. I tried to find an answer, but all I got was the same email: that I was cancelled for life. No real name included from the person (?) sending this message.
There should be regulation protecting us. Users should be given fair warning if they - allegedly - do something wrong. They should be allowed to remedy it. They should not be cancelled without a proper reason. They should be able to appeal - preferably with an independent agency.
As said, the US talks about liberty and freedom etc. but it allowed these dictatorial monstrosities to prey on an unsuspecting world. Probably because a lot of money is made that way, and politicians need friends with deep pockets.
This is why Rumble and Brighteon are the future. Americans are done having reality spoonfed to them.
