SEE IT: Israel Releases Graphic Video Sinwar’s 'Last Moments'
A popular journalist questioned the wisdom behind the IDF's decision to post the video
The IDF on Thursday released drone footage of what it identified as the “last moments” of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar’s life inside a destroyed building and appearing injured.
Sinwar’s death was seen as the latest blow to Hamas as Israel continues its punishment campaign across Gaza.
The IDF blamed Sinwar for being the mastermind behind the 7 October Hamas attack. The International Criminal Court announced last year that it sought war crimes charges against Sinwar over the attack on civilians. Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas’s former political leader, was also named by the court, but he was killed by Israel in July in Tehran.
U.S. President Joe Biden posted on X: “Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar is dead. This is a good day for Israel, for the United States, and for the world.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also posted: “Yahya Sinwar is dead. He was killed in Rafah by the brave soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces. While this is not the end of the war in Gaza, it's the beginning of the end.”

While Sinwar’s death was seen as a setback for the group, many doubted that it was a fatal blow.
Scott Ritter, the former UN weapons inspector, posted on X that Israel will “seize the headlines of the moment, and will try to turn Sinwar’s passing into an existential moment for Hamas.”
“But as was the case with Hassan Nasrallah’s death, all Israel has demonstrated is that it can take human life. But Israel’s continued acts of targeted murder cannot, and will not, change the fact that it is an apartheid state engaged in acts of genocide against a people who oppose the ongoing illegal occupation of Palestine by the proponents of Zionism. A month from now, no one will be talking about Sinwars death. Everyone will be talking about the continued resistance of the Hamas fighters.”
Dan Cohen, a journalist, also questioned the wisdom of the IDF posting a video of Sinwar’s final moments.
“Israel made the mistake of publishing footage of Yahya Sinwar's last moments,” he posted. “Wearing a kufiyyeh and severely injured, he threw a stick at the drone filming him – a final act of defiance against the Zionist occupation. In his death, he became a legend.”
TREND FORECAST: Netanyahu will continue the massacre across Gaza and Sinwar’s death will do nothing to end the genocide.
I'm pretty sure the mastermind of Oct. 7 was from Tel Aviv... Hey lets turn off the security protections and wait a couple of hours before we do anything. Oh and lets put a music festival with everybody stoned right next to the border (or at least stage it to look like it was there).
Ironically the IDF's post of Sinwar's last moments gave solace and boost morale of the Palestinians especially the fighters...he died a true leader, fighting along with them on the ground...a true martyr.
