Top Israeli Extremist Echoes Trump: 'Open the Gates of Hell on Gaza'
Smotrich rejected the idea of any ceasefire and said Israel should take advantage of this opportunity
Bezalel Smotrich, Israel’s extremist settler and finance minister, sounded like Miriam Adelson’s Donald Trump on Monday and said the IDF should inflict more hell on Gazans.

Smotrich rejected the idea of any ceasefire and said Israel should take advantage of this opportunity “to continue with all our might, to occupy and cleanse the entire Strip, to finally take control of humanitarian aid from Hamas, and to open the gates of hell on Gaza until Hamas surrenders completely and all the hostages are returned,” according to The Times of Israel.
Last week, Trump warned Gazans that there will be even more hell to pay if the remaining 100 Israeli hostages are not released before he takes office.

He said if the hostages are not back “by the time I get into office, all hell will break out in the Middle East. And it will not be good for Hamas, and it will not be good, frankly, for anyone. All hell will break out. I don’t have to say anymore, but that’s what it is.”
Trump is so pro-Israel, that he makes the Biden administration, which provided Tel Aviv with $18 billion in weapons and complete diplomatic coverage during the genocide, as disloyal.
Haaretz reported that the Israelis are, once again, holding up any ceasefire deal in return for hostages because they want to resume fighting after Phase 2 of the deal is completed. Phase 2 would include a “permanent end to hostilities” and the exchange of remaining living hostages. Israel would also have to withdraw its forces from the entire enclave.
Israel has rejected any attempt at a permanent ceasefire because it wants to immediately resume fighting in the enclave. Top Israelis have said Israel should agree to a ceasefire just to get the hostages, and then start fighting again.
Benny Gantz, the National Unity chair who resigned from Netanyahu’s government, said in an interview in June that the return of the hostages should be the priority.
“If there is a change in the fighting and our hostages are returned, and we do what needs to be done in the Gaza Strip in a year, or in two years, that’s not an issue. I want the hostages home, I want to have strong security, and then we can continue what needs to be continued,” he said last year.
TRENDPOST: While U.S. Secretary of State continues to run around blaming Hamas for refusing ceasefire deals, history will show that it was the Israelis – emboldened by support from the U.S. – who were the ones who kept the war going in hopes of stealing the territory.
Is Trump giving the middle finger to his MAGA supporters? "Open the gates of hell on Gaza"?? And the Catholic Church says nothing? Shameful! Strange talk for a man who promised no more wars.
"Open the gates of hell?" I guess the rubble hasn't bounced enough yet. Really, how much worse can it get?
