Donald Trump is reportedly set to announce Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., as his pick for Secretary of State as an old tweet emerged from October 2015 when he mocked the senator as a “perfect little puppet” for now-deceased, pro-Israel billionaire Sheldon Adelson.

“Sheldon Adelson is looking to give big dollars to Rubio because he feels he can mold him into his perfect little puppet. I agree!” Trump posted.

Politico reported at the time that Rubio had been gaining in the presidential race and would frequently call the casino billionaire to discuss Israel.

As fate would have it, it was Trump who became the Adelson’s “perfect little puppet.” As president, he withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal, moved the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and recognized the Golan Heights as being part of Israel, despite international law.

(The BBC reported that, according to insiders, the key to unlocking the late Adelson's backing “was a promise to move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.”)

Miriam Adelson, the billionaire Zionist wife of the deceased casino magnate, took over where her husband left off and pumped $100 million into the Trump campaign. Indeed, Trump, again proved to be a good little puppet and asked Rep. Elise Stefanik, the recipient of this year’s Miriam Adelson’s “Defender of Israel” award, as his pick to be the U.S. ambassador to the UN.

Trump promised to deport “foreign Jihad sympathizers and Hamas supporters” and said he would reinstate the travel ban for Muslim-majority countries.
