Trump's Picks Stefanik, Recipient of Miriam Adelson's 'Defender of Israel' Award, for Top Cabinet Post
Former president raised hopes that his new administration would be different when he said he would not extend invitation to Mike Pompeo and Nikki Haley
It has been four years since Donald Trump served as president, and one would expect that within those years, he’d extend his diplomatic Rolodex and be able to tap new foreign policy leaders during a second term.
He excited some of his supporters when he announced that he would not extend an invitation to former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo or Nikki Haley. It hit fever pitch when Donald Trump Jr. posted on social media that there should be “maximum pressure to keep all neocons and war hawks out of the Trump administration.”

Could it be? Could Trump usher in a new foreign policy?
Aaron Maté, a reporter for The Grey Zone, posted, “Trump going out of his way to announce that Pompeo and Haley won’t be joining his admin suggests that he sees political benefit in leaving behind the neocons who dominated his first term. Hope this is a trend, and not a one-off.”
That Honeymoon period did not last long and Trump announced that he offered Haley’s old seat at the UN to the Zionist extremist Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., where she will be tasked with providing Israel diplomatic cover for its atrocities in Gaza and Lebanon — while selling war with Iran.
Stefanik, who kissed Trump’s ass for years, shot to real fame after she was embraced by pro-genocide Zionists after questioning the three Ivy League presidents and conflating the word “intifada,” which was chanted during some of the campus protests. “Intifada” means “uprising” in Arabic.
Stefanik was presented with the “Dr. Miriam and Sheldon Adelson Defender of Israel Award” in March.
“I have been to Israel many times - even before I was a Member of Congress. My first trip to Israel was as an undergraduate when I was selected as a fellow for the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies for two weeks of national security studies,” she said. “And I have been many times since - returning as a Member of Congress most recently in May of last year to help lead an Intelligence Committee delegation with Prime Minister Netanyahu.”
Adelson bankrolled Trump’s campaign with $100 million. Adelson’s late husband gave Trump’s campaign $90 million in 2020 in exchange for a promise to move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
The dog-and-pony show continued when Stefanik, riding momentum from her new-found fame, backed a bullshit House resolution bashing the testimony of three Ivy League presidents who refused to follow Israel-lobby pressure and condemn campus protesters who dared call for a ceasefire in Gaza while Israel carried out its genocide. (The U.S. Knesset voted 303-126 in favor of the resolution.)
Trump called Stefanik a “strong, tough and smart America First fighter.”
